THE WORD COUNT SAYS IT ALL
AFC Didsbury 2’s played against Tyherington Juniors FC. A team which was top of the league and on fine form. The match started well for both teams. It was an open game with both teams making mistakes due to the pitch conditions.
After 20 minutes Gaz New attempts to kick the ball and misses. Gaz mate, you’re no longer in Vegas.
Thytherington Juniors break on the counter and score. After this AFC Didsbury 2’s tried to gain momentum. However, they struggled to bring things together with many passes going askew. The opposition were efficient at breaking up play. Their coach constantly shouted laki. However, it sounded a lot like another derogatory word. Just before half time they score a second goal from a corner.
The second half was tepid and Tytherington score a simple goal. There were a few chances from both sides. Both teams lacked intensity.
There isn’t much else to report on the match. The match was similar to watching Bolton Wanderers under Megson. We have now lost 3 on the run but played against a good side here. We may have lacked the belief and leadership to take the game for our own. Hopefully a week’s break will enable the 2’s to set themselves straight and move back to winning ways.
On a better note: Plow - keep up the banter with the opposition on the pitch. Seems like every match, someone’s out to elbow you.
